Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in Winchester
As we transition back to a more normal life we do still need to be mindful of others and practice social distancing. This means things are going to look a little different when you come into the clinic. Here are some of the new guidelines and procedures you will find at the office:
As a patient:
Please arrive on time for appointment, if you arrive early please wait in your car instead of coming in early.
Wear a mask to your appointment. If you do not have one you can purchase one from me. Call and let me know and I can meet you at the door with it.
If someone comes to your appointment with you please have them wait in the car unless you need their help getting into the office.
If you have any symptoms of infection (sore throat, cough, fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste) or have been in contact with someone who is sick please reschedule your appointment. I will happily prescribe herbs to support your recovery if you'd like them.
If you have high risk factors for COVID-19 and your condition is not urgent, please continue to stay home and well, we can resume acupuncture soon. If you are high risk and cannot wait for treatment contact me and I will schedule with accommodations as needed.
At the clinic:
· Please wash your hands or use the hand sanitizer when you come in.
· You will go directly into the treatment room, no waiting in the lobby.
· Appointments are staggered to limit patients’ contact with each other.
· I will be wearing a mask.
Because you will be wearing masks I cannot look at your tongues when you come in but it is an important diagnostic tool for Chinese Medicine. Please take a picture of your tongue before your appointment and either email it to me or have it ready to show me on your phone. Here is a tutorial for getting a good picture of your tongue: https://vimeo.com/417235138/c0798d5c83. If you aren’t up to the technological challenge we’ll make do without or perhaps you can make faces at me through the office window.
